This award-winning program
empowers salons to offset their emissions and recover up to 95% of their beauty waste. That includes previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes.
Where does the Beauty Waste Go?
When we fill up our boxes we put the waste in, we pack them up and send it to Green Circle Salons where the recycle, recover and repurpose it- giving beauty waste a new life.
At Baddhare, we are recycling up to 95% of our beauty waste by being a certified Green Circle Salon.
What do they even repurpose in a salon?!
Hair clippings-
At the facility the hair will be either... composted with other organic waste, turned into bio-composite plastic to make new products like recycling bins, used to research and develop new environmental technology like insulation and storm water filtration, and is made into products used for Humanitarian efforts.
Excess hair color-
At Baddhare, we collect our excess color in our waste bin, when it's filled up, we then ship it to Green Circle Salons. At their facility, it will be turned into clean energy by being separated into water and oil. The water is then cleaned and returned into the watering system while the oil will be blended into fuel!
Metals (foils, color tubes, aerosol containers)-
Green Circle will sort the metals and depressurize aerosol before sending them off to partnering facilities. At the facility, they will be sorted by grade and type, them melted down into aluminum sheets or bars used to make new products like car parts and bicycles!
Single use items-
At Baddhare we collect waxing strips, waxing sticks, cotton rounds, and sponges to send off to Green Circle! At their partnered facility, it will be used in a waste-to-energy process to create clean renewable energy and the leftover ash will be used as a filler in asphalt!

Since 2019, Baddhare Salon and Spa has advocated for clean beauty. What makes us so unique is the clean beauty options and education provided to our guests and staff. With the support of Clean Living Educator at Baddhare, Leslie Menich Innersense was adopted as the best better beauty option offered throughout the salon.
Last month, the Baddhare Team had the opportunity to host an Innersense product knowledge and curly inspired cutting class. Educator, Erin Nelson travelled all the way from Chicago to spend a whole day of Innersense clean beauty education and fun. Education is a core value of Baddhare Salon. A well educated and knowledgeable staff can better serve our loyal guests about our product offerings and techniques that would best suit their hair type.

Our Amazing Spa Team:
Krysta Testone is a native to the Myrtle Beach area. She has always had a keen interest for beauty and fashion. After graduating from Socastee High School, Krysta chose to pursue a career in the beauty industry. She worked in a salon environment for several years as an assistant before deciding to enroll in Horry Georgetown Technical College Esthetics program. She is now our first in house esthetician applying her skills in a wide variety of specialties. Krysta is also a BeautyCounter consultant, advocating for clean beauty both inside and out of her facial room.
Jenn Henshaw graduated from the Aveda Institute of Charlotte in 2018 after working 26 years in the Healthcare industry. Jenn has dreamt of being a hairdresser since she was a little girl. She is literally chasing her dreams by taking a huge leap and changing careers later in life.
Jenn specializes in styling and loves working on brunettes. She also loves esthetics and services clients in the Baddhare Spa.
Her passion for hair, skin, and the beauty industry shines through her every day she has the opportunity to work in the salon and spa.
